This has been on my TBR for the longest time, but for some reason it took me forever to read. It’s deep and dark and actually the twists and turns had me so anxious reading. This is jam packed with triggers and spins and so much info.

This is definitely one of those books that made me feel like I was on a rollercoaster, both in terms of the story itself and how I felt about the book all throughout it. It's quite addictive, with so many little plot twists until the big final reveal, but there were also times I was unsure if I wanted to keep going. I'm glad I did, as the second half of the book is so much stronger than the first half, but it's a book you do have to push through to get to the good stuff. Will I read more of this author? For sure, I'm excited to see how his writing evolves!

This was suchhhh a good book!  My first read from Riley Sagar and I loved it so much I’m hopping right into another one.  I was curious and intrigued through the whole thing and at times, even thought the worst.  I feel like it’s a topic we see in movies but rarely get to be curious about in life; so it was the perfect place to really dive into the horrors and trauma of being the lone survivor without… actually having the trauma.

I actually enjoyed Survive the Night, another Riley Sager book I read about a year ago, and that was why I gave this book a shot even though the previous “final girl thriller book” I read was mediocre. Unfortunately, I think this book was worse.

It’s so painfully obvious that this book is written by a male author, and that’s important because the main female character is so weakly written and inconsistent (as are pretty much all of the characters, but in a book that harps on “female power” in the final girl context,it’s noticeable that not one female character is truly interesting or at least likable) The ending felt like a cop out, pun intended, and honestly just annoyed me. Also, out of the two books I’ve read from this author, this is the second to reveal the killer to be a romantic interest of the female protagonist
