I'm just not in the mood for this. The worldbuilding is really cool, though. I'm surprised it isn't mentioned in the blurb, since from what I read I'd say it's one of the book's strong points - it's alt history where automatons (clakkers) were invented in the 1600s and the Dutch empire used them to take over the world. It was also an odd choice to write the blurb in first-person, imo, since the book is in third-person and follows more characters than just Jax.
Edit: That was my review after stopping at 14%. I picked up the book again and read to 39%, but I ended up stopping because I really didn't like how Anastasia Bell was written.
