Realmente sorprendida. No sé por qué no empecé a leerlo antes.
Pensé que me aburriría ya que conozco la historia por las películas (No me gustan las pocas que he visto) pero disfruté demasiado el libro y quiero seguir con la saga para ver cómo crecen los personajes.

I love this book, it has such a nostalgic feel around it. And i love how the writing in this book is so different from the later books. It’s almost like the words and language age with Harry, amazing.
I really admire the way the wizard of world is introduced in Philosophers stone, and hearing Harry’s thoughts as he finds out about his past and fame. This book (and movie even though I’ll always be a little mad at the fact that they left out so much from the books) will always have a special place in my heart. Top 3 coping mechanisms.

edit// Rowling's an awful transphobe and I can't bring myself to have her works on my account with 5 star ratings, so down they go.
Ah, the nostalgia. I power-read my way through this in one day, though I must have read it, at least, twenty times before, if not more. It's always nice to go back into a series you haven't touched in a bit. Harry Potter is just as magical this time around as it was the first time.
There isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said, so I'll leave it at that.

Harry Potter is simply one of the best series I've ever read. If you don't like the story that's fine, but you have to admit that J.K. Rowling knows how to write and knows how to write well. There are parts of the series mentioned in the first book and explained in the seventh book. It is truly amazing.
I enjoyed this book as the reader is slowly engulfed into the wizard world which has lived side by side in real society. The premises of the story is pretty well known: Harry is a boy who lives with his aunt and uncle, life dull and drab, but he soon finds out hes a wizard, not only a wizard but one of the most well known and famous ones in their world.
In this book you learn with Harry what it is like to be a wizard and everything that comes with power and magic. It is a new world Rowling has created and it is easy to get lost in it.
