SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

After narrowly escaping being kidnapped by her father’s killer, Mortez, Tate and the guys are out for blood.

But they seem to be racking up enemies left and right: Kyan’s (Irish mafia) family, whoever is running the Royaume D’élite, and now a new enemy on campus who has dubbed themselves the Justice Ninja.

As they work to fight their enemies, they are all growing closer and considering what a future together might look like. Is it possible for the five of them to stay together even after graduation?

REVIEW:

Another amazing adventure with Tate and her crew. In this one, the story takes a turn because it’s where they all start to admit that the feelings between them all are real. So the story shifts to being more them against the world than against each other.

I love them all still and I love the growth we get in each with them individually and as a RH. I’m especially happy about Tate and Monroe’s relationship becoming known to the guys so it’s not a secret between them anymore. I’m also glad that Monroe’s vendetta against Saint’s dad is brought to light and Saint is with him when it comes to revenge against him (even more so now after that ending). So I’m really glad they are all together in it, even if the hurdles seem too hard to get through.

The only thing about the harem I didn’t like is that she married Kyan. I hate this in RH’s because it makes things feel so uneven in the harem. On top of that, Kyan starts acting like a total possessive asshole about it. I get why they did it, but I didn’t like the way Kyan rubbed it in everyone’s faces. Not a fan of that.

As far as the story goes, I was glad that they finally realized that Toby was innocent. This was (to me) so obvious and I felt terrible for all that they did to him when they thought he was the stalker. But I was satisfied with their apology and reparations for him in the end.

I did feel like it was rather obvious that Bait was the Justice Ninja (or at least one of them). This wasn’t a big surprise to me since he had the most motive and cray-cray background. I think his partner (who they didn’t catch) is probably Deepthroat. Unless more than just two of the Unspeakables are working together.

Let’s talk about the ending. I honestly thought it was rather unrealistic. If she is immune to the Hades Virus, then all they need is a sample of her blood to create a vaccine. There is no need to continue to expose her to the virus repeatedly to make more vaccine. I’m no expert, but from what I’ve come to understand, they just need to know how to replicate the antibodies. Still, I suppose it makes for a more fascinating and gripping ending. So whatever. lol

I do like the idea that the seemingly different enemies each of them has, has kind of converged into a one common enemy — Saint’s father. So this will give the opportunity for all of them to get their long-sought-after revenge as they work to take him down.

Overall it was another great book. I can’t wait to see how it all wraps up. Love this reverse harem!

P.S. Gotta say, this author duo has a really excellent writing style. Even though the book is long (over 650 pages) and the pacing is actually a little slower, it still flows so well that it doesn’t drag. That’s not an easy feat! I can’t exactly put to words what it is, but it’s just a very readable style that flows perfectly.

Another absolutely incredible book!!!

I think this book is my favourite in the series!

Once again, soooo much is happening! These guys need to be able to catch a break soon because they have so much working against them!!!

This is an audio reread for me and I love this series SO MUCH this time around!! The first time around, the covid Pandemic was still too present and I couldn't appreciate this book the same, whereas now I'm like 😱 this series is genius!!!!

As always, Jake and Bridget are incredible for the narration! These two are consistently great 😍

One of the top 5 series that I have read. This series has kept me on edge, and begging for the next book in the series! I love the Night Keepers, and their conversations about the *squid emoji*.

If you don't know, you need to!

This was good! So much happened that I kind of forgot. I really liked how in this one it’s just a relationship basically, I feel bad for Blake and his struggles and I want more of him and Tatum. I want her and saint so desperately. Her and Kayan is honestly the best and them getting married was crazy! Then he getting the virus?!? The way we got to see them all react warmed my heart. Her and Manroe, I’m sorry they just bore me. The stalker element in this was good and interesting, but I wish it went further and was maybe different revel. The ending of this was crazy as well.
