The animal must be either be;
The animal must be either be;
- Central to the story or a significant character/part of the plot (e.g. Charlotte’s Web for the prompt "Pigs(domestic)")
- Named in the title even if the actual animal is not part of the story (e.g. The Elegance of a Hedgehog for prompt "Hedgehogs, Shrews, Moles and Solenodons")
- Pictured on the cover (e.g. This Is How You Lose the Time War for the prompt "Passerines").
Bonus: Popular extinct species will be added as bonuses
- Animals are classified mainly by taxonomy groups but species rarely featured in literature are often grouped with other similar animals in larger groups.
- If you are unsure where to place an animal, use this as an opportunity to do a little bit of research into taxonomy (HINT: Many birds are classified as Passerines)
- Animals are grouped together to keep the prompt number achievable but I will be super impressed if anyone can finish this as some of the groups are very rarely part of literature
