The Testaments by Margaret Atwood

4.0

Pros:

Despite being told that this book isn’t as strong and important as the first I feel that it is very well done and does something The Handmaid’s Tale never could. This story shows us how Gilead rose and how it eventually fell. It shows just how much difference a single person can make to changing the course of history and how perceptions of who a person is at their core are never as complete as we believe.

Cons:

I would have liked having things cleaned up a bit more with the Handmaid’s viewpoint being brought back in so we could see how the years of freedom and running had changed her.
