Descending Son by Scott Shepherd
2.0
For me, this book really tries to be too much. I was aware of the paranormal twist, but the discovery if vampires came about, my interest started to fall flat. I found myself looking up too many words throughout the book which distracted from the reading. Some of the formatting could be questioned as well as a few plot points as well. I won't go into details however to stop from giving too many spoilers.
The novel did have a good start, but between a mix of rather flat characters and an ending that I wouldn't consider the greatest, it fell fast. There was just too much drama that distracted away from everything else. Oh, and Jess also was a highly irritable character for me.
(Better review may be coming in the future when internet is steadily available.)
