Dracula by Bram Stoker

3.0

More interesting for how it's been interpreted since than for the plot itself. It's very much a Victorian novel, and it's not... a very good one. It's engaging nonetheless, and I was quite intrigued by its structure as an epistolary novel--all letters, journals, and documents reconstructed to make the bulk of the story. Mina Harker is an interesting and compelling character, but Bram Stoker's view of gender politics is troublesome at best.
