The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris
dark
mysterious
tense
fast-paced
4.5
Better than its previous instalment by virtue of having more Lecter in it. The plot is also basically just Jonathan Demme's 1991 movie with a little more lore drops and detail. Surprisingly, a lot of the dialogue in the film is straight-up taken from this book, which is a discovery I really liked.
Hannibal and Clarice's interactions spark good banter and tension, and are easily the best part of this book.
Moderate: Fatphobia and Transphobia
