This left me torn. Honestly doesn't entirely embody the way I felt when reading and completing this book. The reason I was left torn wasn't Luke or Kelly Jackson's story, but the reminder that this kind of financial strain isn't feasible for everyone, which leaves people both without the care they need, as well as leaving them without the kind of opportunities something like IVF can offer. While not something this book specifically touched on, it did spark me to think about it more in-depth.

Moving away from the tangential thoughts this book invoked.
I was honestly excited to read and support this book because I know that even today. Issues regarding women's health such as menstruation, miscarriages, and fertility problems are something that ends up being something that isn't really spoken about, so in turn, it can leave you feeling like you're alone with no one to reach out to.

This story is beautiful because it felt like someone sitting next to me telling their story. In full earnestness, no holds barred. Letting you know what their experience really and truly looked like and how it can affect every facet of a person's life.

The watercolor style and simplistic color choices honestly made the work pop in my mind; even after I stepped away, I found my mind returning to particular panels because the art there resonated with me so much.

What a stressful read, but very raw and honest. It truly depicted the journey and struggle of couple going through this kind of thing.

I've heard from other women who have gone through the process of freezing eggs and going through IVF but this was definitely a very personal and vulnerable graphic novel to read as it shows both the individual emotional experience as well as their emotional experience as a couple and the journey they went through. It definitely was a quick version and very easy to get through. I honestly have more questions for the authors/people going through this journey about how they feel and how they have chosen certain options, but I think this book did a good job of succinctly going through their situation. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn more about IVF/infertility.

I really enjoyed this graphic novel covering a married couple: Jo and Conrad through their journey to conceive via IVF. It was really well written and I felt the subject was handled really sensitively. I felt the emotions of the characters, the uncertainty, the anxiety, the self blame and impact it had on so many aspects of their lives.

It was a quick read but really informative.
Really enjoyable.

I love graphic novels like these because I can learn something about a perspective I have zero connection to. At the moment, I don't want to have kids and I don't see that being something that will change. I have always found it hard to relate to baby fever and all that stuff that comes with kids and parenting. So, reading this was eye opening in terms of how much of a toll fertility struggles can take on a person and on a relationship. It requires a lot of communication and support and really seems to force a couple to reconcile with what they really want. While I don't foresee myself ever being in this situation, I appreciate the ability to step into these shoes and see what things might be like for those who are going through it.

This is an illustrated memoir of a couple's real life journey to overcoming their fertility issues and having a child of their own. The book details the heartbreak, stigma, and emotional turbulence many couples have to endure in order to successfully become pregnant. The illustrations are expressive and add a lot of context to the story. At times, figuring out who was speaking what could be a little challenging. This book seemed to give a well-rounded portrayal of the IVF experience.
