Tate's story and his quest to find Lucia, Camila's sister was devastatingly raw and heartbreaking. His love for Camila sent him on this endeavor, if only to make her happy to find the sister she thought was long gone.
Van's involvement with Tate's plan was a surprise and I happily rooted for Van and his actions to pay for his past sins.
The scene with Van, Tate, and Lucia in that basement will forever be imprinted in my mind as the baseline for the ultimate self sacrifice.
These books are awesome!

I am such a huge fan of Ms. Godwin’s Deliver series and I always get so excited whenever a new book comes out and Devastate was no exception. And while I was expecting an excellent read, I had no idea how truly outstanding it would be. I wholeheartedly loved Devastate and it is without a doubt my favorite in the series after Vanquish!

I have a standard way of writing my reviews, but it just feels wrong to do it with Devastate. I usually talk about the heroine and hero at this point and then go on about how the book made me feel, but I can’t it do that way this time.

I’ll be honest, although I was excited for Devastate because it was a new Deliver novel, I was a little bummed out that it wasn’t the hero that I wanted to read about yet. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Tate in Disclaim, but let’s just say that I wanted to read about a guy who has a thing with some needle and thread more than I did about Tate. Yeah, if I had known then what I know now, I would have squealed in delight and dove in as soon as Devastate hit my kindle because I loooooove Tate and I especially loooooooved his story.

There are times in reviews where I say that the book really captured me and I just could not put the book and while it’s always true in those cases, it was even more so in Devastate. After awhile, I simply could not tear myself away, although there is nothing simple about this story. It is a heart pounding, thrilling, gritty, fascinating read. It is raw and dark and heart wrenching, but it is also romantic and sweet and heart melting. Devastate was extraordinary, it was beyond beautiful and it truly touched my heart.

Devastate should be read after the first three books in the Deliver series, it’s told from Tate and Lucia’s POV, they get their happily-ever-after, and I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book!

Wow. Tate and Lucia have left me speechless. Their journey was seriously rough. And the darkness and depravity packed a hurtful punch. I have devoured them in a matter of hours and I am reeling. The dynamics between them and they way they fell for each other fast and furious, just made the pain that much harder to bare. You knew it was going to be awful, but what her captor put her through, what he did to everyone around him was awful. I am in awe of Tate, Lucia and even Vans strength and determination to survive. At any cost. You do not want to miss this one. I cried and cursed. I even laughed for a second there. And in the end I rejoiced. I hope you all find solace and healing along with Tate and Lucia and that you enjoy it as much as I did.

Devastate did just that, it devastated me in the best and worst ways possible. It was a gut-wrenching, heartbreaking, nail biting, page turning read that I quite enjoyed it even when it made me so ragey that I wanted to do some irreparable damage to a certain character. Devastate wasn't all dark, there were light hearted moments between Van and Tate that had me laughing out. Van doesn't know the meaning of the word boundaries.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to all lovers of dark romance. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

WOW. I just love Pam Godwin's writing. The world to she concocted here just sucks you in, her words breathing life to her characters and the universe that she built. She makes you root for even the darkest characters. I, for one, wouldn't have liked Van and Tiago for the things that they have done, but Ms. Godwin just has a way with her that makes you drawn to them, and feel for them. That takes skill. There's just no doubt in my mind now that she can never disappoint me with her writing. Amazing.

Oh my gosh, what a ride!

Devastate has to be the darkest of the Deliver series yet. I was completely consumed by this book - my family and chores forgotten in my free time – and I had to keep going in order to know how the story ended.

I don’t even feel like I can state both characters names for this review as there are bound to be spoilers caused by a reveal like that. However, I can say that I absolutely loved both protagonists in this story. Certain side characters that were part of this book from previous stories were absolutely relevant to the plot.

This might be my favorite book of the series so far.

If you like Dark Romance, I highly, highly recommend this series. I’ve been blown away.

I was only interested in reading this book because I felt compelled to continue following one of the characters from the Tangled Lies series. I skipped and skimmed everything that wasn’t directly related to that specific character, because tbh the subject matter of this book is too dark and brutal for me. Since I didn’t really read the whole book, I’m not going to give it a star rating.
