Devastate is aptly named because that is exactly how I felt on more than one occasion while reading this brilliantly written tale. It was brutal, dark, emotional and utterly devastating and I loved every minute of the torture! Devastate is fast paced, nail biting, emotionally exhausting and was the most fun a girl could have, while her heart lay sliced open and bleeding on the floor in front of her. Yep, this dark souled reader can be tortured, battered, bruised and abused and call it fun. ;)
In my opinion, this is the best book of the Deliver series. We get the introduction of some amazing new characters, the mysterious Cole who has me intrigued to no end, Tiago a nasty villain whom I'm sure we'll see again, and Lucia our heroine who can kick some serious ass! How awesome is it when the heroine actually rescues herself?!
And we got to see a few of my old favorites. Van......OMG....Van, one of my most hated characters of all time, has now become one of my most favorite of all time. This change alone, is testament to the talent of this author. How she managed to to take such a vile waste of flesh and turn him into such an interesting, complex and somewhat human man is nothing short of miraculous. Pam is the goddess of making me love what I swore always to hate!

Hell’s bells, I am shaking and sweating and I need wine and a puppy to cuddle!
OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD! What the hell is Pam Godwin on? What ever it is, please give her more and lots of it.
Wow! Wow! Wow!
Can you tell I’m just in bits?
Sigh! Ok! Pull yourself together girl. Sigh again.
Tate - vigilante, ex Liv/Van kidnap victim, best friend of Camila, take the stage. He loves Camila - not a spoiler, we know that. He wants to find her sister Lucia to win a piece of her heart.
We travel to Caracas. We travel with a companion that scares us (still). We find an old friend COLE! We feel sick and scared and thank the lord for the day off work because I devoured this book. Was shocked by this book. Was amazed by this book. Cried and cried again.

Devastate is the 4th book of the Deliver series.
You can read it as a standalone but personally I do think you would enjoy it most if you read the first 3 books as you will understand certain characters most.
This book is about Tate who is looking for Camila's sister Lucia who was kidnapped and apparently killed. He won't stop till he finds evidence.
I really loved Van Quiso's appearance in here, just made me like him more than I did in Vanquish.
The author really does know how to come up with something different each time which doesn't make it tedious.
I do think this book isn't as dark compared to the first 3 books, although there are certain dark scenes. I felt like this book was abit of a suspense, as it had me on edge afraid of what was going to happen next.
I definitely recommend this book to those who love forbidden romance and suspense.
