Enola Holmes: The Case of the Disappearing Duchess by Nancy Springer

This closure to the Enola Homes series is just as strong as the rest, if not stronger for it's impressive ending that answers all the questions asked and does it without being cloyingly sweet (That wouldn't have fit the tone, anyway). These books haven't caught on amongst the average Young Adult, as I don't know many 12 year olds who have the vocabulary to read them, and if I had a moment with Ms. Springer, I'd recommend a few footnotes or a glossary in the book just for the Victoriana, not the above-average (for a children's book) vocabulary.

This is a worthwhile read for anyone who likes mysteries, puzzle-solving, and the history of London. Fabulous.

This honestly felt like an afterthought to the series. It wraps it up, but the case featured was weak and uninspiring. It really focuses most on Enolas relationship with her brothers. I would say this is definitely the weakest book in the series. It’s disappointing to go out on a low note.
