This is the fourth book in the series and need to be read in order these are a must read for all paranormal fans I have enjoyed this series and this book does not disappoint. This is Phoenix and Dante's book, she is a cat shifter who refuses to get close to anyone and hides behind frumpy clothes, he is the head of the vampire Guardian's and wants nothing more than to show her its okay to be a sexy woman.I just loved these two they were so perfect together a super read

I’ve waited a few years to read this book and HOT DAMN WAS IT WORTH THE WAIT!!!

Duuuude Phoenix and Dante are HOT together! He makes her soft and feminine and she makes him soft and a good partner.

Lots of healing and growing for so many people in this book. They did that thing I love where it’s multiple couples and stories happening and I’m not sure who’s story I loved more Phoenix and Dante’s, Quentin and Hunter’s, or Levine and Sterling’s. All of them pulled me in. I wasn’t expecting it with Quentin and Hunter cause MM or gay romance aren’t my thing but R. L. Kenderson writes such amazing characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with them.

Every book makes me fall even more in love with this series, this world, and these characters.

Phoenix really blossomed with Dante's help in her hairbrained scheme. It was nice to finally understand Phoenix's past trauma and that Dante loved her regardless. Hunter was adorably clueless about who he was and what he really wanted. It took Lexine long enough to snap out of her insanity and thankfully Sterling helped her to see reason and real love. I thought it was fitting for Kenzie to help Phoenix fix her relationship with Dante after the way she helped Sawyer. I loved the new friendship between Kenzie and Phoenix, they were hilarious together.

Phoenix seems like a tortured soul, yet she's wise. People really should listen to her more, but they don't because they refuse to see her as wise because she seems like such a loner. But in this book, you get to see into her mind and there's such a chaotic maze of, well, everything. Dante is a Soldier. A leader. He has always been what he is it seems. He protects. And this time he sees Phoenix, and even unknowingly to himself, he has extended his protection to her, even if she doesn't want or need it. And unknowingly to the both of them, there's a massive connection that they just can't ignore. The problem is this: Dante can't seem to get through to Phoenix further than the inch she will give him. She's closed off and he's determined to be there when she finally breaks to help put her back together. No matter which way she will allow him to be there, he will be there. He just wants to stay close to her. Read the book to find out what happens!! You won't be disappointed!!
