Making up was OKish. I enjoyed myself at times throughout the book. Helena just had a gift of making it fun. I love her characters. The obstacles this couple faces except for the age gap just made me roll my eyes. At about 70% I just did give a damn anymore. It was hard to finish this book. This makes me sad. There are so many books by Helena that I’m obsessed with. Recently I’ve just been disappointed by them. I’m not giving up yet. I will be reading her next book.

I voluntarily read an early copy.

This is book four in the Shacking Up series but you can read the books as standalone
if you so wish.

I have read all the previous books in this series so far and I have very much enjoyed them.

I did enjoy the book and it is well written . As per usual I have loved the characters
and the story.

I do give it a 4 out of 5

Helena Hunting + raunchy and humorous age gap story?! UHM YES PLEASE. From the memorable meet cute to the distry talking to the swoony moments, I was hooked on this story from start to finish.

An alpha, occasionally mercurial business man Griffin meets sassy and free spirited Cosy, who just so happens to be working her way through school thanks to her job as a sex toy store. Griffin just wants some gag gifts- SUUUUURE- and the suited up hunk of man most certainly needs Cosy’s expertise, right? Helena has such a distinct sense of humor- the perfect nexus of debased filthy and witty cleverness. We have a lot of lusty heat between these two thanks to their sordid Vegas beginnings- but these two opposites, separated by more than age, evolve into something far more substantial after their highly humorous and deliciously awkward first encounter and all the fun banter that ensues after. And loads of angsty drama as the past makes its way to their present.

I loved these two together. THE MOUTH ON THIS MAN. Griffin is just delicious. As always, the characters are vivid and unique- Helena has such a way with creating relatable, accessible characters that are just at the right balance of senasalized and familiar. And our story is infused with the perfect marriage of her trademark humor and perfectly calculated drama. But the chemistry is what soars here- my goodness are these two magnetic together. Volcanic!

Why did I wait so long to catch up on this series- SO yummy!

Poor Cosy and Griffin, they really can’t catch a break. However, it was still a fun read!

She is minding her own business stocking dirty magazines when sex on two legs walks in looking for some 'pleasure toys.' Clearly out of his element, she puts on her sales girl face and helps him get his items with the least amount of embarrassment as possible. Yup.... that's their meet cute. :) Her characters is fun and care-free. She doesn't want to settle down. Always looking for her next adventure. He is a wealthy hotel heir who also happens to be a decade older than her. He also happens to have a shy-like attribute about him that you may not expect from someone of his stature, giving him an ever greater appeal. Their age difference along with the difference in their social status's put a threat on their relationship. That and a little surprise that shatters their world. There is lots of comedy. A couple heartbreaking moments. But alas... a happily ever after. There is a lot of sexual content. Not just in the form of the act, but also due to her working in a sex shop. ;) This is a primarily happy and upbeat story.. aside from those few instances that cause turmoil. If you've read the other books in the series, you will see most of the characters making an appearance or two throughout the book, but this can be read as a stand alone without issues. Suitable for mature readers.
