Most serious. This is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. My goodness.... it's going to take me some time to get over this one. #bookhangover

I haven't read Steinbeck since I was forced to read him in middle school ("The Red Pony" and "The Pearl") - a good friend swears he's a wonderful writer and loves his books. Tried this one because it's short. And still. I feel like all of his books are so bleak and hopeless. Ugh.

Ouch. What a painful and beautiful little story. I guess if you know, you know, and there's not too much one can say about it. Written masterfully of course, with that aching simplicity that seems to echo the lonely prospects of the novel's denizens. It's just very spare and heartbreaking.

"Of Mice and Men" was not really a good book. I got tired f reading. I thought it was really boring, it was pointless, and the action was no where to be found.
