Audio book- liked it enough to read/listen to the next one when it comes out, but maybe that's cause the book ends with a cliff hanger.

I'm a sucker for detective novels, particularly where I can't figure out what's going on. This one kept me guessing. I liked the two plot twists at the end and found the characters believable and their motivations enjoyable. I really despise books where it's basically Superman or Sherlock Holmes as they're one dimensional and not all that interesting (though I actually like Superman and SH, just not the knockoffs) but these characters seem to have full, well developed lives. Am eagerly looking forward to the next books.

Well, that was creepy. I didn't realize this was book 2, but so far I don't really think you need to read it in order because I was able to get the story pretty well. Do think it was a little too much men writing women, describing people's physique a little too much.

I have to admit, this book wasn’t my favorite and it took me a while to get through it. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover but between the cover and the compelling details on the back I was excited for a thrilling page-turner. This crime thriller is a bit gory, so it certainly isn’t for the faint hearted. This story is about a string of murders that don’t seem to be adding up…until one retired police officers finds a link between them all and fights to find answers. While it takes a while to get into, the second half of the book really speeds up and the ending left my mouth hanging open with a lot of unanswered questions! I love these kind of endings because it keeps me thinking beyond the pages of the book and makes me think a little.

Waaaayy better than I had expected it to be. Very interesting and well thought out. The end had my jaw on the ground (even if it was somewhat expected).
