5/5 - bold statement here but this is the most SEEN I've ever felt with a book. I can count on one hand the books I've read with a main character BBC and probably the first one I've read of those to be centred on queer identities.
It's opened a lot of discourse for me and kinda shifted my perspective a bit and made me analyse who I am and why I think certain things if that makes sense????

I've always been on team Joan too ;)

There's a lot going on in this story that centers bisexual Chinese-British teen Elsie. She has several potential love interests, and I was confused for a while about which was the actual crush. There's a sort of mystery subplot that's kind of sweet. All-in-all, though, not my favorite LGBTQ YA caper.
