Oh my god where to even start with this. This was the first book I’ve read all year so far due to a book slump & oh man did it rip me out of it. I didn’t realize how close I had gotten to these characters honestly & yes I weeped so hard at the end. Truly magnificent.

I knew people loved this book, I was just surprised that I loved it too!
Like how can I hate Evelyn for hurting so many people, being ruthless and a cold-hearted beast but at the same time I love her so much… she’s so so unbelievably strong, she’s a real fighter!
This was the greatest way to tell the story, through everything single husband only to lead her to her one true love…
Spoiler Celia St. James

I adore their love story because it‘s raw, and sad and hurts. It’s the realest thing you can imagine! And Harry, how I see Cary Grant every time I think of him!
This story left me speechless, and I’m gonna need a few days to process!

This book is beautifully written. It was a real pleasure to read. I absolutely love the news articles scattered throughout, you get insight into both Evelyn's view and the Media's view of her (and how those conflict). I went into this book knowing there was a theme of LGBT+, but I absolutely did not expect this book to go the way it did.
I know not all books that "blow up" and become popular are great but this book is absolutely amazing.
