Great read!

T. I. Lowe has become one of my favorite authors. She writes such compelling and heart felt stories with characters that you love. The book is about Jillian who works hard to care for her family and is always putting others before herself. The only thing I didn't like about the book were Cora and Jillian's parents. I highly recommend this book. It's a love story and for me it's about a young lady coming to know that she deserves love and happy endings.

This southern young love/rags to riches story absolutely knocked my socks off! I literally could not sleep until I finished the whole thing. Growing up in the trailer park wasn't easy but the tight group of friends made it memorable.
When three of the guys leave to chase their dreams in the music industry, the ones left behind fear things will never be the same. Dillon has loved Jillian, his Jewel, for as long as he can remember but she's just white trash as far as his mother is concerned and she's convinced he's better off without her.
Dillon's devotion to Jillian over the years and miles is heartwarming. The evolution of his love from boyhood to manhood is beautiful and poetic. Jillian's confusion and desire to do what's best for Dillon causes huge misunderstandings and tests their relationship to the extreme.
I loved this book so much, I'm looking forward to re-reading it!

Cute, sweet, Christian tale of love and poverty. It was sad and heartwarming and real (mostly! We can't all be rock stars)
