This is a book that doesn’t shy away from tough topics such as, Brexit, xenophobia, classism and grief!

The first thing that you notice about this book is it’s unique writing style, for example not using speech marks for dialog. This could be slightly confusing at times but overall it worked perfectly and really set the pace of the book!

In my opinion the two main characters, Cal and Lauren, are quite different. Lauren is super future focused and all about improving her imagine and social standing, where as Cal is a bit lost almost drifting through life. But when they collide, life for both of them is about to change!

As well as the two main characters there’s a superb supporting cast! The most important of those being Jozsef, who provides my favourite quote from the book “Are you still alive? Yes? Then there is hope!”

Overall a beautifully written book, which poses many questions to the reader about our current society! I highly recommend that you check it out!
