Hmm not sure how to feel. I really enjoyed Hand's other book, The Last Time We Say Goodbye, but this felt maybe a little... young? Maybe it was the occasional stereotypical teenage text lingo? It wasn't terrible, but it did bring me out of the story on occasion.
Minor: Racism
Spoiler
In a fight, the main character says something racist to her black friend. She apologies and later addresses why it was an issue. It's worth mentioning that the apology does seem pretty focused on the MC and not her friend.heather077's review
