Ok. I am hooked on the Spellman family. I am getting attached to this quirky group. Read it quickly and am awaiting the next one.....(hopefully). If you like a littly mystery with humor this is for you.

Fun audio listen. I loved the characters in the first book and this was no different.

While I find this series about a disfunctional family of detectives very funny, and I like Lutz' writing style, something doesn't sit right for me with these books. Isabel, our main character, has a number of issues that are played for laughs - I think she's supposed to be amusingly flawed. But the obsessive stalking, the drinking, the screwing up of the lives of people around you... I don't know. I still enjoyed the story, but Isabel's life is such a complete disaster, sometimes I wonder why I'm laughing at it.

I think this book is hilarious, but if you're expecting much of mystery this one's pretty simple. Isabel, the main character gets herself in more ridiculous situations than an I Love Lucy episode. The storytelling is super convoluted with lots of footnotes and asides, so not for everyone.

I liked this book... I liked Henry, specially his relationship with Rae. I really like the protagonist, Isabel, even when things aren't going so well.. I think she might have a medical condition or something... anyway, want to read the next books :D
