Another imminently wonderful tale of Sandman Slim. I don't want to give too much away but it's good.

The first four books were fun and all. But this one felt better developed and engaging. I really couldn't wait to see what happened next. I had read some of the first books just because I like Kadrey's style, even though the stories were only OK. This one did much more. I couldn't put it down and "binge-read" it like it was my new favorite show. On to the next one!

At this point in the series the main characters are well established and 3 dimensional. Another solid entry in the series.

The introspective character moments are my favorite. This is the slow building of an anti-hero into a kind of actual hero.

These books are such fun. A perfect thing to read in a week when my own city is turning out to be rather Hell-esque.

My favourite book of the series so far- you will need to have read the other books first because it does rely on you knowing a fair bit of the backstory. If you liked the previous books you'll like this.

This is the 5th book in the Sandman Slim series. This book has a great flow and really grows the characters. This is one of my favorite books in the series so far. If you have not read the story previously, this would not be the book to start, and if you have read the series you already know what to expect. Stark is once again saving the world... or at least coming up with a compromise.

Readers of Jim Butcher will like this series. It's like a grittier, more graphic and fantastic version of American Gods. It doesn't have the prose of Gaiman, but it does have the story telling and intrigue. If you like The Supernatural, Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll, mixed with a smattering of ultraviolence, this is the series for you. NOT for the easily offended!
