This was a nice quick read. It's a story similar to many other novels but was still captivating and well done with intriguing and enjoyable characters.

Whoa with the original mythology! With the flavors of Greek Gods and a touch of science fiction, it was just well woven into its own thing. I loved that the contest to the throne was, for once, wasn't a physical fight to death variety. The stakes were much higher and the moves were much more subtle. The constant jumping around in the MC's thought process took a little while to get used to but it made a lot more sense once the story was revealed a lot more. For something that was so intriguing, not a lot actually happened. The actual timeline was about 2 weeks of their time.
I will say that a few words in the book jarred me a bit.
In the end, it was the beautiful descriptions and poetry of their lives that won me over. Great read!

Spoiler
I am tagging them as spoiler but not sure if it is needed. Use of titanic, where there were no titans and greek gods was a bit tough to digest. Also oubliette would be some other word as there was no country of France, thus no French language. The etymology of their languages wouldn't support either of these words. However, I am picky and notice these tiny things. In the end, it was the beautiful descriptions and poetry of their lives that won me over. Great read!
