Winnie-The-Pooh by A.A. Milne

I'm biased because Winnie the Pooh was my childhood. I love all the characters. It doesn't often make sense (child with a gun?), but it feels like it shouldn't. The author perfectly conveys childlike wonder and freedom in imagination. Reading it as an adult feels a bit out of place.

5/5 for what it is, 4/5 for my experience as an adult.

Fantastic, iconic, a joy, a companionable stroll in the woods followed by a nice, warm cup of tea.

Wow. So charming. I was coming to these stories fresh, never having read the stories as a child. Sharing them with my son was amazing. The writing is clever without being precious. Plenty going on in the writing to entertain both children and adults. Marvelous.
