I had really started to lose faith in this series. The first book was really enjoyable, but then the second and third books felt kind of boring. Almost like it was all just filler until they got to the big plot point. Simply put, this definitely isn't one of my favorite series or anything. I'll probably never pick up any of these books again. But, I enjoyed the end. It captivated me and made me feel things, like a good book should. In fact, when I realized what was happening at the end of Chapter 37, I was practically traumatized for a good hour. After that, I basically couldn't put the book down until I reached the end. The concept of this story was great, but I definitely think the whole thing could have been executed better. I feel like they still wrapped up the series in a satisfying way, though.

I liked this one better than the second book, it had more tension and overall more things were happening. I don’t know if I’m satisfied with the ending, I feel like there could be more to the story although the storyline was more thrilling towards the end. Still a solid read.

3.5 Stars.
I really loved the first two books in this trilogy and I waited so long for this to come out. And now that I finally managed to read it I feel rather disappointed. It took me a bit to get back into the story at first because it’s been so long since I’ve read the first two books but once I got into it it was an easy read. And then it was over. And I didn’t really felt like all my questions were answered or that any of the characters had a great development throughout the book.
However I would still recommend picking up the series (not only for it’s beautiful covers) but also because I think the idea behind the story is brilliant and the first two books were amazing.
