Oh my God, the pace of this though! Wyatt having a lot of moments of 'but what if we took a nap instead?' was hashtag-relatable because, holy shit, I was tired just reading about all of the sleep they weren't getting. Once again, I loved all of the characters from previous and all of the added ones here - even the villains. Everyone just feels very well-drawn to me. And I love that everyone's whose heads were in is trying to be a better human/creature/monster than they were the day before, even if they don't always succeed at that. Truly a great read but now I am very, very tired in what I can only assume is my body's effort to have the sleep none of these people are having, as though I can somehow give it to them through osmosis maybe? I don't know. *makes sleepy sounds*

At first I was a little confused as to what the plot of this book would actually be, because it didn't follow the first one the way I'd expected. I really like all these characters though, and the way they're (eventually) able to communicate their feelings. I hope they live happily and gayly ever after

I really liked this series! The narrative voice was very zellenial. It’s an obviously decolonial book with a host of diverse characters. I wish there were fewer characters as it got confusing by the end, but I was happy to enjoy this quick read.
