3 1/2 stars. Some of the illustrations are charming but it did turn kind of dark at the end. I want to read the next to see if things improve.

It was too short!

I now want to get the rest of the books.

It's definitely an experience and made me appreciate the art of snail mail.

Wild. A book in letters and pictures. Art. Passion. Mystery. Have to read the rest!

When I first read this, it was novel, and the novelty overwhelmed the actual content of the book which is a too-precious, convoluted, "The Lake House"-esque romance that ultimately left me unsatisfied.

This is a beautiful book. The story is intriguing, and I love the book's format -- made up of artwork and letters. I was very upset when the book just ended, but then I realized that it is the first in a series. Hurray!

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 for the creative premise, artwork, and mystery. A little creepy!

I enjoyed the format (because epistolary novels are my jam) but the content... I think it's supposed to be a romantic quirky love story but I found Griffin's obsession off-putting and weird.
