This book is inaccurately labeled as BDSM when it actually depicts abuse. There's a glaring absence of safe words or explicit consent throughout. Merely interpreting physical arousal as consent is not only misleading but dangerous. Physical responses do not equate to pleasure, let alone consent. The trigger warnings provided are inaccurate and incomplete. Romanticizing rape and calling it dark romance is inappropriate and trivializes a serious issue.

This book is so dark. The MFC has a history of sexual assault which makes her relationship to the MMC questionable. They get their HEA but it took me a long time to warm up to them, especially together. I skipped some of the sexual content because sometimes it felt unnecessary (but with this book also being a form of erotica, it’s not like I’m upset about it or wasn’t prepared for it). The plot is riveting which is how I got through it in a day. While very dark, the secrets and action was thrilling.

There comes a point where there it toooo much sex and you can’t even figure out what the plot is about. I was hoping for another Ryat and was so incredibly disappointed with who we got :/ may or may not give the third one a try

 This one was hard to get through. I did push but almost DNF'd at 50%.

Check triggers and then some. There is a lot of on page grape/SA of a minor. Drg use and abuse, bodily manipulation. ULTIMATE degradation.

One of the darker romances that I have read.
Sin is Ryat to the EXTREME
Crazy plot twist I wasn't expecting

Overall the book was well written and had an HEA.
