I really enjoyed this book!! The will they want them, falling in love before being comfortable with saying your in love, the crazy ex, and witty best friend! It was a very sweet read and dirty, but very sweet.

I believe this is my second book by this author and I decided to listen to the audio version of this book. I love me some Hunter because he was not playing about Camila being his everything. I know this book one in the series so I am looking forward to the other audiobooks in this series. I found this one on Libby and I will be reading more books by this author. Hunter was so sweet and he just loved Camila down throughout this book.

Oh lord. The vocabulary in this book read like TI wrote a romance, absolutely absurd word choice. SAT words galore and they're mostly used incorrectly so half the time I was scratching my head. Somehow I’m still tempted to read the rest of the series so what does that say about me??
Grammar and word choice aside, it is the most instant of instaloves - the omelet scene alone was such a yikes moment. Again, still probably gonna read the follow ups because I’m shameless.

They're in total lust with each other as soon as they see each other and their first encounter that was just them mentally discribing how hot the other was and how turned on they were. There was no real interaction between them, so I don't see this all consuming lust they feel for each other.

This book was ok. It was pretty fast paced, so it held my interest.
Hunter and Camilla had a SERIOUS case of instalove. Sometimes that distracts from the story, but I decided to go with the flow.
There were a couple of things that bothered me. For example, she never questioned him about the scene outside of his apartment. Especially after their relationship developed into something more serious. Camilla knew all about his playboy ways, but neglected to mention she had been in a relationship for YEARS, until her ex showed up. Not two or three, but over ten years. The whole "ex" situation was played out and remedied entirely too quickly. Then throw in the hurricane. Not really sure why it was necessary. Next, was the surprise. How long had they known each other? Last, but not least, was some of the sexual terminology. It was downright ridiculous. "Wet cocoon...furthest reaches of her cove..", really? Are we serious here? I guess I should say that I thought it was ridiculous. Others may have an appreciation for that type of thing.
Ok. I guess that was more than a couple of things. In all honesty, I could have added a few more.
In spite of all the points listed above, this was not a difficult read. It was a sweet, sexy romance, that proved to be entertaining. I will more than likely read the next couple of books, just to see if the Valentine brothers, Xavier and Lance end up with Camilla's friends, Corrine and Allison.
I read this book via Kindle Unlimited.

I was honestly not expecting to like Hunter as much as I did because of the Rose 🌹 series. I was pleasantly surprised. Great read
