If you find the beginning of this book slow and even irritating do yourself a favor and plod through! It is worth it I swear.  There are real and traumatic themes in this book so be prepared.

Ok, the story seems interesting and most the characters are really lovely but I can't stand Eleanor. Plus the book weirdly describes characters in fatphobic ways for no particular reason, so I can't keep going.

Can't get over all the blurbs saying this book is funny. Sweet and sometimes amusing, sure, but the "funny" bits are mostly just sad.

This book was a slice of life that was just ok. It has some great moments that are delicate and emotional that made me feel something, but I was hard to follow Eleanor’s day to day living because she was so weird. There were plot points that kept me reading because I wanted to see the outcomes but the outcomes were to realistic that they were just boring. I needed a little more drama in this slice of life to recommend or reread it.
