The only reason I finished this book was because I had to read it for school. It was so boring until a little more than half way. Then I finally started to care about Eleanor. Before that she was annoying for no reason. Atleast now she has a reason to be.

Another thing is that somehow this woman knows nothing about modern society. Even the most tech deprived people I know, have phones and know what pop culture references are.

I felt as if this book started EXCEPTIONALLY slow and I found that so difficult because of how unlovable the narrator comes off, but the narrator goes through so much character growth throughout the story that it makes up for how slow the beginning of the book felt.
