One of my favorite fantasy series I’ve read so far. Feels very unique and new with some familiar elements or themes.

Bare with it because it is a slow burn but the pay off is really good. A really strong mix of characters but found the pace a little inconsistent. Felt the last part (most interesting was compressed into the last third of the book)

Entertaining. I’m looking forward to the rest of the storyline and adventure. Overall kind of predictable and the main character is a little insufferable but still likable.

This was a really wonderful read! The pacing is fast and the plot is gripping. I could hardly put it down until I'd finished. Maas has a wonderful writing style too, apart from one too many uses of "my throat closed up" and "my mouth went dry" and a couple of grammatical errors- I found it slightly more ornate than that of most other modern writers, and there's definitely a lot less swearing.

The characters are well-rounded, especially Feyre. However, there are a couple of plot inaccuracies
- for instance, the question of why Feyre couldn't see the Attor at first, despite the fact that it wasn't a member of the Spring Court.

Nonetheless, this was one of the best books I've read. I can't wait to read the rest of the series - I hope they're as good as this one!

This book is all about world building and preparing for the second book, it seems. I was hoping for more of what the last 1/4th of the books story showed. It didn’t meet the expectations of what people were telling me about this book. I did like the characters and the descriptions of the world are very detailed. I personally felt it was very cringy for the first half and then gave me what I was expecting for the second.
