I enjoyed the set up to this series but this could’ve been a standalone as the entire story is neatly wrapped up by the end. I’m interested to see how the supporting characters are developed as this series progresses. The world-building is great and the allusions to Beauty and the Beast aren’t incredibly overt.

A bit stereotypical character and plot development, but the second part of the book opens a new possibility for other characters to develop both the plot and the main character more. Hopefully the other books in the series will become less predictable.

2/5 First half of the Book was slow. 
Put it down a cupple of times because I was anoyed by Feyra.

4,5/5 Second half of the book was more interesting. Couldn‘t stop reading and listening for the last 30% of the Book.
