I was expecting a gritty dark read but what I got was a light, funny read! I enjoyed this, 3.75*
Vinnie has been drugged and set up for murder. Whilst the delberate drugging and kidnap of someone is a serious topic, I thought Vinnie was very amusing in his drugged state, especially when dealing with James. James is the police officer who has the job of handling Vinnie.
The actual details of who was murdered, who did it and why are incidental to Vinnie and James dancing around each other. We only get some insights into James mind and I would have liked more from him. Vinnie's mind is a strange and wonderous thing, going off in all sorts of directions - and talking to his Great-Grandma.
