this book felt like a really weird dream that you can’t describe when you wake up because it’s so confusing and strange… i think i would need a hard copy and a lot of highlighters to ever understand it… but i don’t think it is meant to be understood

Lots of beautiful concepts that were challenging for me to piece together. Lots of beautiful characters that had layers of their personalities forced into the story instead of letting it unfold naturally.

This felt like an intellectual fantasy: not one to escape into rather one that constantly felt like I was thinking to absorb and therefore I didn't get into it. Some may enjoy that but I prefer a more easily consumable story that isn't so poetically fluffy and lacking a plot.
