I think that my opinion of this book is colored by the fact that I am an adult. Undoubtedly I would have given it more stars then. There is a need for the type of lit that this book is, but I find it a bit too didactic, particularly at the end of the book.

This was an ok story about honesty and loyalty. The protagonist,Dru, was a likeable character who at times was quite humorous. I was very disappointed in the illustrations as they looked to be drawn more for kindergartners than middle school aged boys. Overall, this was just an ok read for me. I probably wouldn't recommend this book to anyone other than young boys between the ages of 6-10.
