As usual this was an enjoyable read. However I just get the feeling these novels are getting shorter. Or maybe I’m just reading them faster. They are a quite light read that’s for sure. Also I think the first novels in the original series (Annihilation) were a notch better than these later ones. Part of that comes from the fact that the general story was new and fresh then but also from the fact that they were more “down to earth”. In the later ones planets, galaxies and universes are juggled (and destroyed) like it’s just an ordinary day at work which is sometimes making everything a bit too far-fetched even for me.

Anyway, these books are still very enjoyable and a nice relaxation when you feel like just sitting down and not spending too much energy on anything.
