From the very first book, I fell in love with Mia, Alex, and River. and Jessa did not disappoint in the way she told their story. It definitely had more spice in this book then the others in the series, but it fit for these three! The spice feels very necessary and just works for the trio, as its a way they connect. The justice done to Alex's storyline of figuring out his own feelings for River is immaculate .There isn't a huge emphasis on Alex realizing he's bi, because for him, it just makes sense. Jessa really delivers it in a natural progression of feelings and the whole trio just feels natural.

Very minor stuff: I do wish there was a bit more actual hockey in the book, I feel like we saw more of the sport in the first two books and I miss that a bit. There is also a tiny bit of suspension of disbelief that they are able to have press conference as two NHL players and casually say they are in a throuple, but of course its not up to an author to correct the stick-up-their-butt NHL and give a whole back story on the NHL of the "Rules" universe (i.e maybe their not the first)
