First off I read the series out of order and started with this one.  I will now be going back to start the series from the beginning.

This book follows the journey of Mia, Alex, and River. Their connection started in college, but ended shortly after starting due to Alex and River both being posessive. Their story starts back up 3 years later, Mia - now working on her internship to become a doctor in Ottowa while trying to avoid her narcissistic ex boyfriend who helpped her get her current job, and River and Alex - now starting forwards on the Boston Bruins pursuing their dreams and kicking ass as close friends and teammates.  Through some schemeing from Mia's college friends the 3 of them end up sharing a wild and steamy romantic weekend together at a friend's wedding.  Life after the wedding isn't the same for any of them. Mia's Life gets turned upside down because of her ex. Thankfully the boys can't stop thinking that their lives are missing a crucial piece without Mia and come to her rescue. Life isn't the same for any of them after that.

I couldn't get into it, it looked promising but the execution wasn't as good as it sounded. I didn't like the FMC, I found her a bit annoying. Everyone knew what they wanted but no one went for it, there were a lot of insecurities and feelings but it took way too much to make a move and it got boring. I found the characters immature and the issues were glossed over. At the beginning it was ok because I know they are setting the pace but halfway through the book and everything is about the FMC not running away, it just gets boring and annoying.

It had some really good spicy scenes and I liked the characters. I think the author should have stuck with one drama aspect and it moved fast.

The rope tying scene wasn’t really necessary. It felt like it didn’t fit with the book honestly.
