The myths are typical of Sámi cannon, but the author weirdly related everything to Christianity at the end of the book. It's a stretch, it's out of place, and it's forced. Completely unnecessary to add the chapter following the myths, but the myths are good nonetheless.

I loved the stories in this collection, but i felt a little cheated that a large part of this was pretty much a direct extract from the Kalevala - especially the story of Vainamoinen and Joukuhainen (but the end with Aino is a nice change) and the story of the Sampo.

Its very interesting seeing the little changes between the "sami" versions (if they are, not convinced) and the other known versions.
