This short story about sisters reconnecting is sweet but there’s too much going on and not enough time to explore it all. It felt rushed and I didn’t feel like we had enough time to get to know the characters or their stories.

Deu pra dar um gostinho da escrita, da prosa e da beleza da narrativa da Alice Hoffman, verdadeiramente mágica sem nem ter magia no livro. Achei puro encanto. Facilmente imaginável um filme delicioso a la Chocolate, da Magia a Sedução, ou qualquer filme com aquela vibe delicinha de cidade de interior porém praiana e com população que é uma extensão da família.

Talvez por ser uma história curta, algumas partes ficaram desconexas, por isso a retirada de uma estrela.

I kind of wished it was a full novel, even just a novella. The characters were interesting enough to want to know more about them.
