3.4 stars. Different vibe from the first book.. The MCs were both humans. Aaron was a brilliant medical researcher. Kane was a genetically enhanced soldier. Not as romantic. Not much relationship development. Great sex. Fun action scenes. Sweet ending.

I liked this book okay. I just never connected with the romance aspect of it very much. Sure Aron and Kane had lust going for them, but all they did together was sex. There was no talking really, aside from the back story reveals to each other. And then suddenly they end up married. It all went too fast for me. The "mystery/mission" aspect was interesting but it was fairly obvious. Cover pretty much gives it away if you pay attention. Still, I did enjoy it well enough. And I am DYING for what I hope is going to be book 3.
