I liked it. It was really fun to read but something just seemed missing from it maybe it was the change in setting in this novel.

I love these books. I hope everything is going okay back home but I'm sure it isn't as with always happens with these characters.

If you haven't read any of the Baine Chronicles, please make sure you start from the first book, as these are a series & not stand-alone books.
I adore this series. I love how Ms. Walt describes places, people, and magic in such a detailed way.
I was happy that we get to see a bit more of the relationship between Sunaya & her family, particularly her aunt & cousin.
I felt like the main story was a bit rushed. It seemed that there was more story to the travel the group did & customs of Garai, but I personally love details like that.
All in all, another great read by Ms. Walt & I can't wait for the next installment. I thoroughly enjoy seeing into more of the world she has created!

I really like this series. I can't say there was anything special to make this story a stand out, other than perhaps Sunaya meeting her father. But the stories generally fit like a glove and are always a pleasure to read.
