I enjoyed this story. Grayson wasn't a jerk like some boss's can be. It was a good story..

Main female character has no personality apart from being ‘quirky hard working’. Main male character has no personality in general. Sex is unadventurous.
Spoiler  Calls herself kinky for liking anal.

I really liked this, it was a fun and hot story and I loved both Grayson and Emma, I felt like some topics were raised in this book that wasn't really expanding on, the jealousy, as well as the fact he's her boss. They were touched on and then nothing again, and although it wasn't a big problem it was still a problem. Also, I felt that you really don't get to know that much about the characters and majority of their background, just felt like it was sex with a little bit of drama thrown in.

Not what I anticipated

...but oh so grateful. I honestly didn’t have high expectations based on the title. I decided to give it a chance and goodness gracious I’m happy I did. Not the typical office romance bs. This story had some depth to it and the love story between Emma and Grayson made me yearn for their success. I loved his alpha male personality and how she was able to slowly break him down. Everyone deserves to live and be loved. If you’re looking for a good romance, this is it.

I can only imagine how hard it is to move on from a horrible break up and be able to learn to trust again.
When Emma meets Grayson she has to learn to fight the insecurities caused by her ex. Her doubts are relatable in that her breakup is still fresh and she is carrying around that hurt. She needs to learn to trust in him, despite him having a reputation for not committing. Grayson is a true alpha male, he wants to own and possess every aspect of Emma and he makes his intentions known.
Shreffler has given her readers a fast paced, totally hot HEA in My Hot Boss. Their connection and chemistry in the bedroom is palpable. My Hot Boss is well written and almost impossible to put down.

This book is absolutely amazing. I loved it! Emma and Grayson are both adorable, and such a hot couple, chemistry between these two is just perfect. They're simply too good. :) It's a lighthearted and fun read, with great romance scenes, laugh-out-loud moments, and quite entertaining story line. This book is definitely a must read for romance lovers.
Emma is trying to get over her ex-boyfriend, someone she trusted and wanted to build a life with, but then he just broke her trust and her heart too. Now she has decided to never let anyone have power over her heart, because heartbreak isn't something she wants to experience again. So in order to move on, she is trying to find someone who will make her forget about her ex, without getting emotionally attached to him. That's how she meets Grayson, they hit it off right away. They are both attracted to each other, and she just knows that chemistry will be simply explosive between them.
Grayson is a rich playboy, he is used to women falling all over him, but Emma is different. He can feel it. Unfortunately, they turn out to be colleagues. He is her boss and he knows an office affair is a bad idea, but will he be able to resist this sweet girl? He thinks not. ;)
They're completely enamored with each other and there is no way they will be able to resist it. But will a relationship between a playboy and over-analyzer last for long or are they doomed to be broken hearted? Well, you'll have to read this book to find that out. ;) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book.

There was nothing wrong with this in terms of writing but I just kept waiting for something to happen. It started well, looked like it would be a good rom-com but then just meandered around.

I couldn't get that Grayson actively pursued Emma, knowing she wanted commitment, then demanded exclusivity from her but didn't want to be in a long term or committed relationship with her. One minute he was 'you're mine' and the next he was 'well it won't last'.

No wonder neither Emma nor I were very sure if they even had a relationship. I get he feared commitment but he was so up and down I couldn't respect Grayson and struggle to like him. Thankfully Emma was a very likeable and natural feeling character and she kept me engaged in the book.

It wasn't a terrible read, I found it enjoyable and it was written and edited well. The story flowed easily and it didn't feel like a chore to read this book. It just didn't quite have that spark, for me, to turn it from a good to an outstanding book.

What would you do if you met a guy at the bar, decided to go somewhere more private but you vomit on his shoes and he still gives you his number, only to then find out he's your boss and your new job? Well we find out what Emma does in this situation in My Hot Boss by Betty Shreffler.
Emma can't get Grayson off her mind, ever since the bar incident! When she does meet him again, its at work and he's her boss. The chemistry and tension was felt through the pages.
When tensions and rumors fly in the office, it causes trust issues and for Emma to jump to conclusions before getting the truth. As feelings and tensions arise, and Grayson tries to keep Emma right where she is, but she finds he didn't extend a promotion application that she is perfect. Can Grayson win her back after a huge mistake on his part?
This book has everything!! Loved the book and the characters! Looking forward to more from this author?!

Book Review: My Hot Boss
Author: Betty Shreffler
FIVE STARS
While in a club Emma runs into a very handsome man and is instantly attracted to him. After a horrible incident or two she is unable to contact him yet he is never far from her thoughts. Now if she only had a way to contact Grayson.
After they had to part ways at the club, Grayson thought for sure that Emma would contact him. The attraction they shared was instantaneous and he wanted her in his bed and under him.
A change of management at her place of employment throws Grayson and Emma together yet again, but will they be able to keep things professional? Will they put their lively hoods on the line to test the waters around them and see what it is that draws them so close?
Grayson is a very possessive and jealous man. Emma has dealt with her own relationship dissolving recently and isn't looking to get hurt again.
When Emma discovers that Grayson is holding back information both professional and personal, will she just walk away and say goodbye?
Great book. Grayson and Emma have major chemistry in this book their insta-lust turned more is fantastic. I for one would have slapped the crap out of Arnold if I had been in Emma's position, Grayson's father or not.
I would not reccomend this book for anyone not mature enough to deal with sex though. There is quite a bit of it and it is really steamy.
