The only good thing I can say is that listening to this drivel is mildly soothing as it's nicely read. This book is a series of poems which akin to Edward Lear. I soon stopped listening but had it on to the end as it was a pleasant sound.

I absolutely love the whimsy and playfulness of Tolkien's poetry, so this was a delight to sit down and read in full. The Pauline Baynes illustrations are also gorgeous in the edition I have which isn't present on Storygraph, and I was too lazy to upload it, lol. If you are the type to skip the songs and poems in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, this book is not for you, but if you are someone like me who delights in Tolkien's poetry, I think you will love this.
