The third storm is full of mystery, intrigue, spice and so many twists and turns. The plot will keep you invested from the beginning and the suspense will have you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next. I enjoyed this one.

I didn't like how fast the main character and the love interest "fell in love". There was no tension or vulnerability. I also don't like the flow of the story. It feels choppy and rushed.

This was a very frustrating book.  Besides disliking the main character, Rowan, I hated the instalove with her fake husband, Sam.  The world-building was poor, too.

This was a good start to the series. I was interested in the world and the characters. I wished there was a bit more world building and why the storms happened than there was. And I'm not a fan of the trope that was introduced about three quarters into this book. I am curious how the series will continue.

Cool story idea, but I just couldn’t find the motivation for a lot of the characters’ actions.

This was genuinely awful. If I’m being really honest, I only pushed through and finished it because I couldn’t afford the lost time on my reading goal.

There’s no sense of relationship building whatsoever, everything happens at rapid pace so there’s zero tension for the reader. I genuinely didn’t care about any of the characters, all of their back stories were half arsed and just boring. I didn’t care who lived or died, I just wanted to get to the end of the book to stop reading it.

Did I mention it was awful?

This book was really good at jumping straight into the action, and I really liked seeing the relationship between Rowan and the boys develop. Dean was obviously someone I didn’t want to trust, but knew he had certain opportunities, but the cost of which weren’t clear at first.
I love a good dystopian story have been raised on the giver and the hunger games, and I think the ship setting reminded me a lot of the 2012 movie and it’s not unreasonable to imagine that this could happen in the not too distant future. I think that it does a good job at misdirection with Lori, Sam, Luke, and it definitely kept me guessing!
