War mein erstes Buch der Autorin und der Anfang hat mich alles andere als mitgerissen. Ich glaube ich brauchte ca. 100 Seiten um richtig in die Geschichte reinzukommen aber ab dann hat es gefunkt und ich habe es geliebt. Die Geschichte, die Fae und ihr Reich hat etwas märchenhaftes.

I loved the Throne of Glass series and even though this has more spicy scenes, it feels like its little brother/sister if that makes sense.
It is easier to read and the romance is the main focus here not the world building/ magic system. Can definetly recommend this for fantasy or Maas- beginner.
The pacing was a bit off sometimes especially in the first 200 pages but after I just flew threw the book.
Also, I do not see this as Beauty and the Beast-retelling. It really is not.
All in all a nice start to the series, could be better but I´m still excited to read the next book.
