This book made me cry on fifteen different occasions and that was before the devastating, inevitable occurred. This book made me value my life and also fear my life. We have such little time here and we waste so much of it. This book also added to my aching desire to fall in love, to make a connection with another human being as special as the one between Gus and Hazel. I'm still torn up after reading this book. This is so much more than a YA cancer romance thing, this is such a pure book. (My only issue was when Hazel and Gus kissed at the Anne Frank House and the onlookers cheered, it just cheapened the realism).

Had me in tears a few times but was disappointed in the ending. But I think he wanted us to feel what hazel felt reading her favourite book an imperial affliction. Still disappointing though!

John Green has been added to my faves list. His writing style is incredible and I can't wait to read more of his books. I highly recommend both the audio and kindle version of this book.
